Ice cream is also a popular dessert in Japan, according to a 2007 survey, with almost two in five adults consuming it at least once a week. Many Japanese regions attempt to cash in on local delicacies by producing ice creams that incorporate their tastes. Following is a list of ten weird Japanese ice cream flavours.
1. Chicken Wing Ice Cream 「手羽先アイス」
This foul tasting ice cream is a regional specialty of Nagoya, famous for its poultry. Don’t be chicken, give it a go.

2. Whale Ice Cream 「鯨アイス」

A while back I posted about Japan’s Resolution To Declining Birth Rate where the image of humping cows was being advertised as a savior to Japan’s low fertility rate and the answer to their population problem.

However, according to the image below, could the declining birth rate just be that they are doing it wrong?

Located in Mashū-ko on Hokkaidō (Japan’s second largest island), the sign below is a community service announcement from Japan Agriculture (JA). It loosely translates as:
Drink milk
Hussle! Hussle!
We are taking the declining birth rate problem very seriously

Japan has a declining birth rate. The number of deaths per year exceed the number of births per year causing the population to contract. Obviously, this presents a number of issues such as labour shortages and a reduced tax base. Further, coupled with an ageing population, will lead to a strain on the pension system.
This is a serious problem with even a Japanese term invented for the situation – shoshika – meaning ‘a society without chilldren’.
So, how does the image of two cows humping help the baby bust?
Are Japanese dairy farmers suggesting that milk will act as an aphrodisiac and save Japan from population annulment?
Or, is the image of two cows humping the aphrodisiac that will propel the Japanese race into a bonk fest frenzy?
