Retailer Love & Valentine brings you the slogan “Yes! We Pants! No Pants! No LIFE!”
I guess the hardcore no lifer’s wear no pants whilst sucking down on a can of Zero Life.

Where did that whole No X, No X phrase pattern come from. Was it that heavy metal spoof, Detroit Metal City’s “no music, no life” catch phrase in that movie that started it?
Maybe this is related to the Broken Wear commercials!

I first saw the phrase pattern on a skier’s bumper sticker some 20+ years ago: “No Pain, No Gain” followed by the black diamond symbol. While the phrase is a bit of a wank, it does make some sense. Unlike No Pants, No Life.
I would argue that any bloke who declines to wear pants would have a very interesting life. As a matter of fact, the author/owner of Loneleeplanet maintains a pants-free lifestyle and is now expecting his second child.
Perhaps this Japanese aversion to no pants all leads back to their declining population as also mentioned on LLP.
