Hard Gay

Japanese comedian Masaki Sumitani is not just gay, he’s “Hard Gay”.

Best known under his performing name of “Razor Ramon Hard Gay” and occasionally “HG”, “Razor Ramon Sumitani” or just “Hard Gay”, he stereotypically dresses in a tight black S&M gay fetish outfit performing acts of “social improvement” (“yonaoshi”) for unsuspecting bystanders while delivering suggestive pelvic thrusts and catchphrase vocalisations. His antics are often accompanied by the tune “Livin’ la Vida Loca” by Ricky Martin.

Interestingly, Masaki Sumitani’s portrayal of Hard Gay seems to have come after Sacha Baron Cohen’s (of Borat notoriety) portrayal of gay Austrian fashion reporter Brüno. Incidentally, Brüno’s surname is Gehard (pronounced “gay-hard”).

And now for the vids. The first vid is an episode of Hard Gay social improvement.

In the next vid Hard Gay drives customers to a struggling ramen shop, which he renames “Hard Gay Ramen”.

Next Hard Gay covers the Village People’s Y.M.C.A with his song “Young Man”.
