After becoming the Terminator but before becoming the Governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger does television commercials in Japan. The vid below is a collection of around 30 Japanese television commercials Arnie did in the 90′s.

Schwarzenegger features in advertisements for Suntory’s ‘West’ canned coffee, carbo loads on Nissin’s Cup Noodles and does weird things with the ‘genki’ drink Alinamin V from Takeda Chemical Industries (which is weird in itself – a health drink by a chemical company. hmmmmm…)
The vid runs for about 10 minutes but is well worth a watch all the way through for a laugh. In one ad he is traditionally dressed and performing the rituals of a Japanese tea ceremony only to pour hot water on some cheap-arsed cup noodles. In others, unwilling punters open their health drinks only to see a miniature Arnie floating in the drink laughing at them.
In the Alinamin V ads he says ちちんぶいぶい which is ‘chi chin bui bui’ which sounds a lot like ‘chin chin bye bye’ (‘chin chin’ being a child’s word for ‘penis). Do you think that this is his subliminal way of saying that he took too many ‘roids during his bodybuilding career?
It is funny, but not uncommon, to see big Hollywood names or foreign celebrities peddling cheap Japanese goods. Here is Michael Jackson hocking Suzuki’s in Japan.

Wow, I knew that Arnold did a few Japanese commercials, but not that many! he must be pretty popular over there.
WOW! Bizarre. The first ‘West’ ad where he walks down the stairs in the suit and pulls out a … gun…no a drink. Weird! But i guess he got the cash for it! He was so big back then!!
Very, very funny stuff!
