The Floating Garden Observatory connects the two towers that comprise Osaka’s Umeda Sky Building. We had a fantastic view from the window of our hotel room at The Westin Osaka that lured us to the top of this building.

Umeda Sky Building
After alighting from a fast-moving glass elevator, an escalator transports you through midair to a rooftop observatory that offers a 360° open-air view of Osaka. At 173 meters high, the Umeda Sky Building overlooks the dynamic panorama of Osaka’s boundless cityscape from the 40th floor.

In the basement, there is the “Takimi Lane of Restaurants” that reproduces a street in the gourmet town of Osaka from the early Showa era. Word on the street was that the restaurant Kiji (in the basement of the Umeda Sky Building) was the best place in town for Okonomiyaki. We dropped by for a bite and did not leave disappointed.

That okonomiyaki looks delicious!!! … Great shots of a magnificent view.
Thanks Austin Otaku! The okonomiyaki was awesome so definitely recommend Kiji if you are ever in that part of the world.
Sadly though, the north, south, east and west ‘magnificent view’ shots are not mine. I creditted the Wikipedia for those because mine didn’t turn out as good and weren’t doing the view justice.
