Just sounds like they are fed up with the games people play and the hurt people can do to each other and they have found a way around this sort of thing.
Should’nt they be congratulated for still doing somthing that makes them happy and allowing them to continue to interact with society?
They did’nt become recluses or hide from other people, they did something posative!

So I think negativity like quetioning their mental state says more about those who would try to link the two be it directly or in-directly.
